We were going a little lite this year for xmas for my parents as we just bought them a cruise for their 40th Wedding Anniversary that fell on Dec 12th.
Mom - cashmere sweater and a book
Dad - 2 sweaters and some golf balls.
ILs - Tickets to see the Jersey Boys and GC to dinner

I got my parents a gift certificate to Southwest airlines so they can come see me and my sisters more often!

My in laws are impossible. My MIL said all they want is "family time together" 
I suggested a GC to a restaurant, but DH said, they rather have us take them out.  I guess that will have to do.
For my paretns, the wanted a new step ladder & I will also get my mom slippers & socks & a Sears GC for my dad. ( He feels that a GC is license to buy things he doens't need--so it's great for fun for him  )
