4 that I speak to at least a few times each week, plus my sister. I have a group of girlfriends (5 of us, used to be 6 - long story) that we have all been close since college, but 2 of them I only talk to on the phone every few weeks.

I really don't have any close friends that live near me. They are all in different parts of the country-but one may be moving back soon-yea! And I've been working on making more friends at work and within my softball team, but none are very close to me.

Hmm...we communicate mostly via e-mail these days....about 5.
I don't really hang out with any friends anymore....every couple of months. It's pathetic. 
Same here - really just email constantly with about 10 friends ...
Actually see?? Maybe once a month (depending on where the person lives).

Out of all my girlfriends, I would say I have 4 equally close ones-and I want to say its by chance but I dont think it is-that my closet friends are all on either email or AOL IM!

Hmm...I have 3 close friends I speak to a few times a week
I also have 3-5 close online friends who I talk to everyday and consider real girlfriends, and tend to tell them things first...LOL
And I have 3 close work friends, I speak to at work and also hang with often and would still be friends with out side of work.

Same three for the past 21 years.
We rarely get together though... one is in MA, one is in Massapequa w/ 2 older kids, and one is in Levittown and her and her husband (no kids) travel a lot.
It's hard enough to get on the phone on a regular basis.
