I am finally home with Ryan!
Hi girls! Its great to be home! Feels like I was in the hospital forever! Me and Ryan are doing great and I am feeling alot better than I was. He was born at 11:45 am on 1/24 and weighs 9lbs 4 oz and is 21 inches.
I don't really have an exciting birth story to tell you all because it was a scheduled c-section. I generally had a great experience with the c-section and am happy that I decided to do it. During the actual procedure I had NO CLUE what was happening. I thought that I would at least be aware of what was going on, but I was in such a twilight all I remember is DH sitting next to me and the baby crying- strangest feeling ever. The only thing is that I was not prepared for the recovery and what it entailed. I should have known that it was tough since it is a major surgery but after the first 2 days I felt a million times better. I also had a great experience while at Southside Hospital- the care was excellent. So if anyone is delivering there, have no worries because you will be treated wonderfully!

The key to healing is moving, BUT only to a certain extent. Push yourself to be mobile, but dont over do it!
