Bra Vent (Ladies whose cup runneth over will appreciate this)

Dear Bra Manufacturer,

I wear minimizers. If I don't, I get that stupid gap in between the buttons on my shirt. Why is it that every minimizer I find has lace and crap all over it so it shows through my shirt?? Would it be SUCH a problem to make a minimizer that was a plain, seamless one?
Thank you.

I wear minimizers also but with my botton downs I wear tank tops from NYandCO. It tends to help.

Minimizer Shminimizer! I let it all hang out!Chat Icon Ok, that's a lie, I wear a tank underneath my button downs and let it peak out. Call me a fashion victim, but my girls refuse to be minimized!Chat Icon

I have been known to wear the tank top underneath, but to be honest, I don't love it. When I'm trying to look a little more dressy, I think it looks too casual. But believe you me, there are shirts I can't wear without it!!

So I'm assuming none of you have found plain ones either?Chat Icon

I used to have plain ones in High school. Haven't had them since!

I also wear the tank tops to keep my students (males) from obvious peeking! Its so embarrassing!!Chat Icon

uhmm YES!!! Once I was at a national career fair talking to students for hours.. so after, my colleague came over and was like.. do you know that your bra is showing? I looked down and was horrified!!!! Chat Icon

ETA: no doubt I was very popular that day, everyone wanted to come talk to the recruiter who exposes herself Chat Icon

OOH man I thought I was the only one with Bra problems!! Why is it that they only make nice sexy bras in samller sizes. It's hard to find a nice sexy bra in bigger sizes these days! BTW where do you buy the minimizer?? I would like to try to minimize!! I find that the V-Secret APex (whatever it's called) is a good and expensive bra!

I have found Lillyette and Olga make good minimizers - like them better than any others - but then again - all lacy and crap - no plain ones!!!

I gotta get some of those NY&Co tanks! I have stayed away from button downs lately. People think they are getting a free show!

My buttons always pop open! I just can not get a button down shirt to stay closed. My girls are unruly! As Rachel said, they refuse to be minimized. Even when i do wear a minimizer, they look smaller in the front, but they get pushed to the side.Chat Icon

the ones I have already have the bra built in - so they are perfect for under button-downs.

Re: Bra Vent (Ladies whose cup runneth over will appreciate this)

I actually wore a SPORTS bra to two job interviews for that reason. Of course I had to wear a tank over that too. Minimizers all seem like "old lady" bras to me. I can't find one I like.

I suffer from the same problem. Its always the gap between the second and third button. Other than that, the shirt fits perfectly. I've resorted to using glue strips that are used for crafts!!! Chat Icon

I don't like 'em.
They have a shelf bra in them. I'm always too mashed by those.

Before the reduction, I ALWAYS wore minimizers. I'd spend a whole day at Tanger, just looking for PLAIN MINIMIZERS.

Now Kohl's carries them, too.

As for the tanks, I prefer H&M or Limited. No shelf for mashing!!!

RIGHT?! I HATE those!!!

EVERY button down shirt I own...is safety pinned together... Chat Icon I hate the "gap".

Last week I gave up because no matter how many times I tried to pin it...it pulled...so I threw a vest on over it.Chat Icon Chat Icon

I bought great, plain minimizers at Bee's in Great Neck and also at Great Shapes in Roslyn Heights. They are by Chantelle. They came in white, nude and black with nothing on them. And they reign them in very well!
