Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

I did, but not at a hall. My sweet 16 was in my backyard. It involved a pinata, twister and a volleyball net.

My friends said it was one of the best Chat Icon I was one of the later birthday's, so by the time mine rolled around the novelty of going to the smithtown landing country club dressed up had kind of worn off Chat Icon

Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

I went to someone else's sweet 16 on my 16th birthday. I didn't want my own party.

Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

I had a sweet sixteen party, but it was just dinner with my immediate family and a bunch of girlfriends. There wasn't any music. It was more of a get together. I had a Bat Mitzvah though which was a big affair.

ETA: I didn't want a sweet sixteen at all, but my parents really pushed me to have something. I'm glad I had a small celebration with my friends a family.

Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

Well....kinda, but not like the traditional kind. I'm a twin...and my sister and I each invited 10 friends, and my mom took us all to Bennegins for dinner...we had the side room to ourselves. It was fun.

Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

I had a big Bat Mitzvah which was a religious rite of passage. To me, turning 16 meant nothing so I didn't feel the need to have a party to celebrate it.

Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

My sweet sixteen party was a limo full of my friends and boyfriend (my parents owned a limousine company) and we went to see the Radio City Rockettes and to see the tree etc. It was so much fun! I was the last one to turn sixteen since my birthday is in November.

Re: Did you have a Sweet Sixteen?

I didn't have a typical Sweet Sixteen. My mother brought me and a group of my friends (about 15 of us) into the city. We walked around and window-shopped and had lunch.
