OMG....I can't believe my DH
I am so mad right now....my DH hopped over the fence earlier to turn off the neighbors sprinkler because it was hitting our shed  . He said if he wanted the shed watered he would do it himself. I told him he was being ridiculous...it's a sprinkler. So...obviouslly, when the neighbor came outside and saw his sprinkler turned off, he turned it back on. DH called the police 
I am so embarrassed and so mad....for god's sake, it's WATER!!!! I'm hiding in the basement because I don't want the police to ask me any questions because I will tell them that DH is crazy! OMG

Has this been an ongoing issue that your neighbor was aware of? Your DH should have called the cops before he tresspassed on their property. I hope it works out...bad neighbor relations can be uncomfortable.

DH walked him into the backyard for him to see the back of the shed was wet....the police officer told him he would be upset too and would go talk to the other guy. Honestly...I think the police officer was being sarcastic and thought DH was nuts also

So let me get this straight.... your DH hoped over the fence and trespassed on your neighbor's property... and then your DH was the one to call the cops?
LOL... you would think it would be the other way around.
If somebody jumped onto my property and did something like this... the end result wouldn't be pretty.

I feel bad you have to be caught in the middle of this. Is your DH always like this? I mean it is only water, why ruin your realtionship with your neighbor over it.
Although I think it is rude of your neighbor not to move his sprinkler after you asked him too several times but calling the cops is a little much. I mean they have better things to do, like hang out at Dunking Donuts

OMG!! this post made me laugh so hard!! I can understand why he is upset, but it is not good for the long run to have a bad relationship with a neighboor

Somebody I know that lives out of state has a very strict policy about things like this. He has a nicely stacked gun and rifle rack in his house... and has no issues with shooting somebody that came onto his property or into his home because he feels he would be acting in "self defense" in protecting his family.
He also said he would make sure "they don't live to testify against him in court".
