A friend of mine was told her daughter was over 10 pounds and was given the option of having a C-section. This was after doing a sono with "the best technology there is."

She was born on her due date and was a little over 5 pounds.

They are usually WRONG!! They ended up doing a c-section on my SIL b/c they scared her by saying the baby was big, made her get induced and the baby wasn't ready so it ended up in c-section......he was 7lbs 11ozChat Icon

With me, when I was in the hospital with Logan for that horrific 8 day stay they told me he was almost 6 lbs (36 weeks) ......he was born 3.5 weeks later at 6lbs 11 ozChat Icon

We were told the baby was SGA, maybe he would be 5.5 lbs. I went three weeks early and the baby was 6.10 and 20" what would have happened if I went to a full 40 or 42 weeks?????

I was told mybaby was 8>5 to 9lbs. She came out at a very reasonable 7 lbs, 4 oz. I don't think I have ever heard of them being right !
