UGH (vent)

I wish this cycle would just END already!!! Its day 50!! Its so not fair that I have to waste TWICE as much time on every cycle, and since I'm not ovulating, it is a total waste.

I've been sitting on a clomid prescription for a month already. I just want this cycle to end so I can try with the clomid.

in the last 7 months, I've had only 4 cycles: 59 days, 42 days, 48 days and now another 50+

I really thought I would have regulated on my own by now.

Why don't you see if your Dr. will call in a prescription for Provera to bring on AF.....

Re: UGH (vent)

Did your RE ever suggest going on the pill for a month to jump start your system?

My gyn said something interesting the other day. She said as long as your cycles are steady, whether they are every three months or 30 days or 50, that is the most important thing. I thought that was a bit weird!

Re: UGH (vent)

she's hoping the clomid gives me that jumpstart....I only went off the pill in Nov, was "normal" in Dec and now this...

My cycles are consistently long, but I'm fairly certain their anovolutary. Apparently cycles longer than 35 days generally are.

Re: UGH (vent)

I'm in the same situation!! Day 95 for me!!

Finally starting Prometrium though to bring on AF and get started on Clomid. I would recommend you fulfill the script now though, so you have it ready when you are, in case you have the same insurance issues I had.

Baby dust to you!!

Lauren, Day 95?!?!? Chat Icon What is your doctor doing for you? Does s/he have a game plan? OMG I'm so sorry this cycle has been THIS long for you. Are you seeing and RE or OBGYN? Are they being agressive enough for you? I cant see making you wait almost 100 days to get AF!

Re: UGH (vent)

You definitely should be charting, because your cycles can be extremely long and you can still ovulate and still conceive ! I have seen it happen many many many times. In fact, you need to chart because in case you do get pregnant, based on your LMP , the size of your baby will be wrong and they can misdiagnose you. Are you under a RE's care ?

cause I know its going to come any day now...I just hate waiting. Unfortunately this is "normal" for me, so provera's not really necessary.

Re: UGH (vent)

No Deb....I am neither a nurse or a doctor. I just spend a lot of time on fertilityfriend chat, as you chat, women post their charts....I know of several women, who conceived, very late in their cycle. These are women, who had very long cycles to begin with. Just what I have witnessed, nothing to do with a medical degree.

OH OK, I thought that was probably it but then I saw that you had "seen" them and I got all confused.
Thanks for clarifying!

Im so sorry, I dont pretend to know how frustrating that is.

All of you with long cycles are sooo calm and strong.

Re: UGH (vent)

You don't have to be a VIP member to use FF chat.....

Kathy, I have learned so much from chatting on there.... the ladies there are a real inspiration, they are from all over the world. You are able to post your chart for the entire chat room to see, and then, others can give their opinions. It's also a way, that....you can see so many other lady's charts. The more I see, the more I learn. In addition, I must say, I have become very close with a lot of the women on there. Some in which I am hopefully going to meet soon :)

To be honest I am a little hesitant to join another group right now. After seeing what transpired on this board tonight, I am a little taken back by it all.
