OMG - where are you people finding the money to do this???
If DH and I go out once a month for $40 it is a lot! We totally cannot afford to go out. We ask for gift certificates for gifts because as much as we enjoy it - we cannot afford it!

Too much, we are in the process of cutting this back. We go out for breakfast on the weekends and out to dinner maybe once a week and take out maybe 2x.
It's out of hand..we're working on it.

Probably between $200 and $300. I enjoy it though, and we have the money, so....
We don't usually drink alcohol when out to eat though.

I have to say, I am surprised at how many people eat out alot during the week. I cant bring myself to come home from work, and leave the house again to go out to dinner. I would rather put on comfy clothes, and cook.
As far as the money, when my husband and I go out to dinner, like I said before, it's somewhere nice. I am not going to Applebees in the middle of the week and spend 60 bucks on pre frozen food just so I dont have to cook dinner.

We probably go out to eat once a week at about $60-$70 a pop. So I guess about $240-$300/month....EEK!!!!

um, a lot more than $300 a month 
same with us- but it's more ordering in - then going out
last weekend - we spent $150- for friday, sunday and monday
we have tried to cut back to just the weekend
so we are down to about $400-$500 a month
which is alot less then we were spending
but that doesn't include marvel- that's about $40 a week easy

That might be because you like to cook and you are good at it  I usually want to eat out because I just can't bear to cook after working all day.
We do eat out, maybe more than we should, but if it was hurting us financially, we'd cut back.

I just figured out that DH and I spent at least $250 per month eating out! Last month we spent $300
probably about the same
but i don't look at that as soo bad

When we lived in Hoboken, we used to go out 1-3 times a week in Hoboken or the city and spent probably over 5-6 hundred a month.
Now we've moved, we cook a lot and into eating more healthfully so almost nothing.
A great savings-though most of the time the food that is good for you costs more at the grocery store than the stuff that is not so we are only saving about 1/2 of that money.

We go out to dinner more than I would like to.. During the week we go out to the diner once a week, and I bring in rotisserie chicken 1x a week ( but the leftovers last a while).
On the weekends, my parents take us out to dinner every Friday night and We usually go out to dinner on Sat and Sunday.. Usually one of those night the other 2 sets of grandparents take us out because they want to see the baby...
We spend the money at chain restaurants more than I ever thought would be posssible. I guess having a baby, you want to go to kid friendly restaurants where people don't mind. That being said we would rarely went to chain restaurants pre-baby..
Things change when your family changes...
