So what do YOU think is the real reason behind Jessica & Nick's divorce?
I personally think showbiz got to her head...and they were not on the same page. I think he wanted to be a dad and she wanted to focus on her career...he seems more down to earth and she seems like a diva...
what's your opinion?

I agree Jen, first of all I think she married too young and they were both in two different places in life.
I just think she wanted to go out more, experience more and he had done that and just wanted to settle down and have a family.

I agree. I think these were the two major factors that lead to their demise. Her dad is still running her shizzz.

She got married too young and in "celeb world" that never works out. Nick is definately more down to earth and doesn't seem to buy into the hollywood lifestyle.

I agree with you. Towards the end she didn't seem that interested in Nick.

I agree with the last part of your statement. I think she fame got to her and Nick was already over it and ready to settle down, have kids, and just be normal.

I think she wanted to live it up and became more distant.
I think she is too self absorbed to have made his wait for the wedding night worth it.
I think she went to TN to film Dukes and she liked not answering to him.
He got freaky at that bachalor party, that gave her enough reason to walk.
I think they were both to blame. He could have went to TN with her but instead he wanted to work on his album..

Just kidding.
Honestly, I think he said some things about her in the press that weren't very nice, calling her "spoiled" and talking about how he wanted to change her. And while no one is perfect, I think it's crappy to talk about your spouse's flaws, the person you are supposed to love the most, to the media. If he says stuff like that in public, what did he say to her when they were alone?
They were also terribly overexposed.

Unfortunately, that is part of the entertainment industry. When both parties are performers you have to be prepared for an abnormal amount of time away from each other. It is definately a test of your relationship, but IMHO neither party should have to give up their career for the other.

I feel the same way. I don't the the hype about him - I never saw anything about him that seemed so great or genuine.
Besides...it takes two people to make a marriage/relationship work...and thus two people to make it fail. Imo.

Well when they first met he was the bigger star with all the fans and she was a nobody. She actually opened for 98 degrees and that is how they met. This is also why they had no pre-nup. All the money was his and he was the bigger celebrity.
If that was the case I don't think he would have married her in the first place. I think he was over that stage of his life already with groupies and having any woman he wanted. He is also a good 8-10 years older then her.

true - im not trying to knock him- but shes notorous for being a prude and not ssatisfying him....he even said it on howard stern...i think that being the celebrity he is, even huger than 98 degrees- that he made the wrong choice. i dont know..just my theory.
cant blame the guy- hes freaking ridiculously hot...

agree and i think papa simpson had a part...and she wanted to focus on her career...PUH LEEEEEEESEEEE! she is a crappy actress and an ok singer...should have stayed with mr hotness!

I think Papa Joe was a thorn in Nick's side...an annoyance that would never go away. I think that Jessica thought the grass would be greener on the other side and so far it's been a bunch of dead weeds. Nick is the one who is making out and Jess will want him back when it's too late.

I don't understand WHO this girl thinks she is - Doesn't she (and her crazy father) realize that until she put her 1st year of marriage to Nick on display via MTV, she was a NOBODY ???
No one knew or cared who she was until she got married "lost her virginity" and suddenly started showing a lot more than 'some cleavage' !!! (sp?)
Personally, I think her ego got too big to handle and her father was whispering in her ear to get rid of him in order to boost her career and sexy image ....
