Seriously, I can't remember the last time I bought a pocketbook. My g-ma always buys them for me for Christmas, mostly from Macy's or other dept stores and they aren't designer. I don't think I could ever spend more than $100 on a bag but that is just me. I am not a fashionista in any sense of the word. I use one bag till it dies and then onto the next one.

There's a bag I like (2 actually) for $1200. If I could afford it, I would buy it.
The most I have spend is $250, and my Michal Kors was originally almost $300, but I got it on sale.

Unfortunately for my DH, I have no limit.  I WILL own a Birkin one day, so obviously $10K+ doesn't seem all that unreasonable to me.

Depends on the bag and if I have come into some extra money some how, such as working an afterschool program or something. I dont think I would spend more than $500 though.

Probably $50 for me. I'm really hard on my bags so an expensive one isn't a good idea for me.
I never spend a lot on watches, sunglasses or handbags because I ruin them!!
Same here.
Plus, I can't imagine spending what some of these bags cost.

I used to max out at $400, but now that I'm married I've lowered it significantly --- well except the last kate spade sample sale...but I considered it a birthday present to myself.

Most I EVER spent was $300 and that was for a personalized one in Italy... most of my bags are $25-50 from TJ Maxx etc. the absolute most I would spend would probably be $500 but it would definitely count towards a b-day/Christmas gift.

When I was single, I wouldn't have thought twice about spending any (almost) amount on a bag if I loved it! Now I'm all about the diaper bag. I have a Kate Spade baby bag that I use daily... DH got it for me last Mother's Day (at the sample sale!  ...well, my sisters picked it up for him).

LOL, I told this to DH and he said he would do the same, but he would make sure to get the bag back first.
I would never spend more than $100 on a pocketbook. They end up on the floor half the time.

no way, I never put my bags on the floor- there is a superstition about that too- if you put your bag on the floor you will never have money or something like that, but thats not why I dont put them on the floor- they are too $$ and nice to go on the floor- if we are out and there is no place to put it, I put it on my seat behind me and my back leans on it.
