Congrats! Same thing happened to us. Our house asking price was just lowed $10k when we found it and we offered $10k less than that. They sold it to us for what we originally offered.

We found a co-op yesterday!!! We're putting in a bid today, which I'm sure they'll counter-offer, which is fine. I'm just soooooooooooo nervous about this!! It's a 2BR corner unit in Little Neck, right by the train station and all the Northern Blvd restaurants and shops.
The woman who owns it now doesn't live there any longer but she must be some crazy person. There is crap EVERYWHERE. It's like the exact opposite of one of those "How to sell your house" shows  . Luckily we can look past that

This is exactly what happened when we bought our house...the previous owners did not give a crap about taking care of their home, nor did they watch any "how to sell your house" shows. Good for us though, they went down $31,375.00 from the original asking price! The house needs work, but DH & I felt it was worth putting the work into for the price and location.
Good for you & your DH! Congrats on a great RE deal!

Same here! We have to gut the bathroom and will gut the kitchen because it looks like it died circa 1982. But in the end, including furniture and everything else, we'll probably be able to still get in under the original asking price.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Congratulations Thats wonderful news. You are going to love the area. We used to live in Westmoreland Gardens, off Little Nick Parkway near the train station. It was a dream commute to Penn and close to everything. Parking wasnt bad either. Good luck with your close and move.
