Well, they have the right to protest the movie, as much as they have the right to make the movie.
The best protest is to just keep your $8.50 in your pocket.
of course they do....
but i think usually it has the complete OPPOSITE affect....
the protests and hype that they bring...make people want to see it even more..
so it is truly a WASTE

It definitely calls MORE attention to the movie and more people will see it to know what the hype is about... but there is still value in being heard if that's what you want to do, even if it won't go anywhere or make any difference.

sometimes...yes i agree
in this case...not at all. I really do not see ANY value in protesting movie like this...

yeah.. i will see it. I read the book and did not like it. Just found it boring, nothing to do with religion. Just wanted to finish it because it was so "hot".
The albino was nauseating !!
If uou found the book boring WHY would you go see the movie?  It's the same story, why do you think in this medium you will enjoy it?

yep.. we'll see it.
i would love if they actually did Angels & Demons too!!!
DH and I both liked Angels and Demons better (in the early days of our courtship he loaned his copy of the book to me!  ) and think it would have made a better movied. I enjoyed the Da Vinci Code but found it really complex. I wonder how that will translate to the movie, which I am looking forward to seeing.

Definitely! I am a little annoyed about the protests since it is FICTION and do they think that people's faith is so weak that it will be changed by a fictitious movie?!
