Re: Official CLOMID thread

Wow -- thanks Lauren!! Chat Icon I am learning a lot from this thread, thanks ladies. My Dr. is putting me on clomid and estrogen my next cycle if I don't get a BFP this time around (I am on CD 7 now). He says we will do that for 3 months, and then do IVF if we have to. I don't know why we didn't discuss IUI but I suppose we will talk about it before we go ahead with anything else.

I am 39, and 40 is right around the corner. Funny thing is my Dr. didn't want to do any tests, he wanted to give it more time. I figured, well let's find out NOW if there are any issues and if there aren't then yay. But there are.... FSH is 12.7 so I am joining you here!

Re: Official CLOMID thread

How many mature follies did everyone get on Clomid? Also, did anyone else experience extremely heavy and painful periods? I did. I also experienced a lot of breat tenderness and MOODINESS to put it lightly. I am only on 50mg.

Anyone have post-ovulation symptoms when on Clomid?

I was just reading on another website that sometimes Clomid makes you have the same symptoms as pregnancy (sore boobs, cramps, nausea, etc)

Which stinks because those are all the signs I have and now I'm wondering if they are PMS, BFP or Clomid signs!!

Re: Official CLOMID thread

Did anyone's temp go down when taking Clomid and after a couple of days when finished? I have noticed that lately and they were higher when I wasn't on it.

Re: Official CLOMID thread

Just a warning to you Clomid users.

I think we've talked about it before, but the side effects of Clomid are cumulative. Meaning that they build upon each other every month.

This is my 5th cycle (3 at 50mg and 2nd at 100 mg) and the hot flashes and night sweats are KILLING ME!!

Not to mention this new found vision problem - I'm seeing "trails" from time to time and getting a little dizzy.

This cycle better work!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Official CLOMID thread

Do you take the 2 pills at the same time everyday or can it be at different times? Do you take them together? I forgot to ask the doc.

Re: **Official CLOMID thread**

This thread gave me a lot of information. I am taking provera now and after that my OBGYN wants me to start Clomid. I'm very nervous and Restar is helping me figure out if it is necessary. My progesterone for the past two months around CD21 were 0.2 & 0.3. We have been TTC for 3-4 months now.

Re: **Official CLOMID thread**

Holy Crap, my head is spinning. I'm going to the doc tomorrow and was expecting to be put on clomid like she said last time, but now I'm really nervous. I felt so horrible on the Metformin in the beginning, I'm nervous about how this will make me feel. I'll ask about the Femara instead. It's really confusing about the order you should try everything in and what's your best options...my insurance doesn't cover IUI or IVF, so that leaves all these wonderful meds for now Chat Icon

For me, I had no problems with the Met. I had more problems with the Clomid, but it's really only bad for a week (between when I stop the Clomid and when I actually ovulate). Then it's mostly the hot flashes and night sweats that get me.
