Then the trainers tell me they got a totally differnt story about it. But they wouldnt tell me what was said 
I have no reason to lie since clearly today had nothing to do with me!

I would keep my head down, stay quiet and steer clear of the whole bunch of these loons. It is not worth having drama following you from a stupid training seminar to your new position.

I can't believe that adult woman are behaving so poorly....especially when they are starting a new position.
I don't have any advise....but I can't blame you for feeling so annoyed at the situation.
