[ TRY to make conversation because I feel like an idiot just lying there...lol 
Thats what I do it literally takes me about a month to psych myself up to go. I love my Dr. but HATE that exan period.
One time when I complained to my old DR. about my hate for the exam & he told me that if I liked the exam he would have to worry --
It's always so quick just keep that in mind

I don't mind it so much after the pregnancy. My doctor is absolutely wonderful and he cracks me up every time I go there. Last time, while spead eagle, he's complimenting me on my pedicure...

I don';t like it much either...but I always say to myself, they've seen it all and I'm sure they've seen WORSE!!!
But I have also had decent doctors, so I guess that makes up for it!

Wait until you are PG - you will practically live at the GYN so you kinda get used to it. You start not to feel as vulnerable. Instead, you start to feel like a science experiment.

This reminds me of a funny/embarrassing story I had with my gyn when I was pg. Without giving TMI - I had to have a test to see if my water had broken so he said "now just lay back and let your legs fall gently to the side"... I did as I was told (feeling totally gross doing it) and he goes "wow - you're the first person who's ever done that correctly!" I almost died of embarassment. Oh yay, a new talent I didn't even know I had.

I just went last week for the first time in 3 years. I kept putting it off. I get really bad anxiety attacks b/4 I go.

Ok so MY favorite is when they bring you into the room and you wait there NAKED for an hour!!!! THEN the doctor finally sees you and you're finished in 10 minutes
