IMO, every birthday is a BIG DEAL. You're alive another day, you should celebrate what you've accomplished and what's yet to come!!
To answer your  , I went to lunch at Tao with my DH (FH at the time) and 8 of my favorite people in the world. It was wonderful!!
Then we had dinner at my DH's parents house...

Umm..I cant remember! DH probably took me out cuz it was my first "married" bday, but I dont know.LOL
My 30th, however, I will never forget. My family and friends through me a nice surprise party, and got me good!

I worked that night- I had been in my new apartment a month, was teaching full time and waiting tables in a comedy club for extra money. But one of the girls I worked with brought in a cake and the emcee made me get on stage and made the audience sing to me.  I got better tips than usual that night though!

We were engaged and saving for the wedding. So I think all we did was go dancing at Culture club in the city.

we rented a limo and went into brooklyn and the city had a nice dinner with my sister a few friends it was fun. i went all out for my 30th

DH (who was then my boyfriend) and I went to Naples, Florida with some friends on vacation for a week. It was lots of fun!
