Getting to know you

I feel like I share sooo much intimate information with you ladies, as you share so much with me! However, when it comes to basic things about you I feel as though I know NOTHING! I thought it would be nice to do a getting to know you thread. Please include any info you would like such as name, hometown, occupation, age, years married, husbands name, any pets? ect

As for me, my name is Deb, I am married to Darren (aka studmuffin around here). He is 29 and I am 28, we have been married a little bit over 2 years but together for nine. We live in a house in winter Park, Florida (about 45 minutes northeast of disney world). We have two furbaby cats named tigger and tracey.

My name is Kara and DH is Bill. We married Aug. 29, 2004, met on match.com on Feb 10, 2002, engaged Feb 14, 2004. Second time around for both, no kids.

We live in Seaford, NY in the house DH bought with his ex. I lived in Seville, Spain for 13 years, with my ex. When I found out he (my ex) was sleeping with my best friend, that was the end of that relationship. He kept the house, I took the $ and dog and ran.

We have a black lab - Ebony - 9 years old - who I brought over from Spain with me.

I had a m/c and d&c on April 28, got preganant naturally. Waiting for AF to visit a few times so we can try again.

We are both the youngest of 6 - I am from Irish background, he Italian.

My birthday is Aug. 4, and I will be 39!! I don't feel it tho. DH turned 40 in APril. We will be in Skagway, Alaska on my birthday this year - doing the Alaskan cruise thing hoping to BD a lot.

I want to introduce myself because I don't post much... I always feel shy because I'm a "newbie"...

I'm Nicole. I'm 28 and hubby is 34.

We met in Aug of 2001, and got engaged on December 1 of that same year(!!!) . We bought a house together in Feb 2002. and then got married in Oct 2002. Yeah, we move fast!

We've been trying for a year now, but are in the process of moving to a new house, so things are on hold for a couple months.

I am Felicia (35) and DH is Anthony (32). We met June 2003 (just celebrated our dating anniversary ) Anthony moved in with me in October '03, we were engaged in December '03 and were married on LI on July 25, 2004 (yup we also move fast!)

I work as a legal admin. assistant in NYC, DH is a corporate trainer for a mortgage company on LI. We own our co-op and live in Scarsdale (Westchester County) NY with our 2 year old kitty, Mia. We are looking to buy a house before year's end

Y'all pretty much know my medical history on here since I post so much, but we have been "unoffically" TTC since we were married, but after having no luck and having gone thru some other gynelogical issues, we are more serious about TTC since February of this year and are planning to get more aggressive about it in the coming months

I have to be a little cryptic because I'm finding out that I have people a little too much in my business....

I'm Donna, 34, DH is 35, we live in Queens, have our own home, no pets or babies yet. DH & I met in April 2001 and were married April 2004. I love him to death and he's my absolute best friend and my rock during this TTC process and all the time. He's an optimist and believes that it will happen soon for us I'm more cynicall so I have made an appt with an RE. Let's see what happens.

Jen here, and my DH is Tom. We met in August 2001, got engaged in July 2002, and married in Sept 2003. We bought a house in NJ in June 2004, and hoping for a 2005 baby! (Gotta follow the pattern, something every year LOL).

I work in HR at a NYC Ad agency and my DH is a Property Manager for a large company in NJ.

We have 2 cats and 1 Golden Retriever baby
<~~~ Casey who is 11 months.

We have been TTC since Sept 2004 the old fashioned way. If nothing happens by September this year, we are seeing specialists.

Im Donna..just turned 30 and DH is Danny, he will be 30 in December.

We met at his brothers superbowl party in 2001 and lived together before getting engaged( after he won $5000 on a scratch off lotto ticket, and said " your egtting a ring...lol") and we were married March 11th of this year.

I had a stillborn daughter, Noelle, June 3rd 1997 at around 28 weeks due to an infection causing pre term labor.

I then had a M/C in 2001 at 10 weeks. Unknown cause.

I had pre cancerous cells turn into first grade cancer and finally had it removed in 2002..and have been fine since...although I suspect the many biopsies and surgeries are causing some issues as I did not have trouble getting PG in the past.

We live in Lindenhurst with 3 kitties, and hope to get a puppy soon too.

We are looking into buying a house either very soon, or within 3-4 years depending on how it all goes..

I work in Customer Service for Empire BCBS, and am trying to finish my bachelors ( now in Social Work) and DH is a warehouse assistant manager.

I'm Cheryl (31), DH is 35. Married Sept 2004.
Knew each other for a long time prior (went to sleep away camp together), ran into each other in March 2003 (he looked exactly the same!) We moved quickly too
Are in contract on a house in N. Massapequa, hoping to move in August with our two cats Arnold and Willis.
Just started TTC last month and AF showed up after being on the pill for 13 years. Hoping our month will come soon.

I am Lissette, DH is John. We are newlyweds, married 9 months, but have been dating over 6 years now. We met when I was 16, he dated a girl from my Jr HS, but we didn't start dating until 5 years later. I'm 27, DH is 29. No pets, and we live in Forest Hills, Queens. We both work in the city, me in Marketing, and he in Fire Safety.

I got pg (unplanned) 2 months after our wedding. I would be 8 months along now, but God had other plans for our little boy, and took him 4 months ago. The cause was unknown, but seems like it was meant to be since the beginning b/c I had complications throughout the entire pg. We're not TTC until after the EDD of our little angel.

Hi everyone! This is such a nice thread! I hope it is okay to post even though we aren't TTC until January...

I'm Ariella (30), DH is Walter (27). We met in December 2001 (in a bar ) and were engaged in December 2002. We got married in May 2004 and just bought a house in East Northport in February. DH grew up in Kings Park and I grew up in Brooklyn- I was nervous about the "suburbs" but if I never had to go into the city again it would be heaven- I love E. Northport!

We both work in the city- I'm in human resources and DH is a financial analyst.

DH wants to wait till January to TTC- to save more money and work on the house- I'd rather start now but January isn't too far away... my cycles are always 28 to 33 days and I've never had an abnormal pap so I'm going to start charting this summer and we'll see!

eta: as you can see our current "baby" is Casey- our border collie/shepard mix.

Hey Everyone!

My name is Jenn and my Dh is Tommy. We are both 24. We met when we were 13 but didnt start dating until we were 17 (1997). We dated for 7 years and then were engaged for a year. We will be married 2 months this June. Tommy inhereted his parents house in Centereach, (where he grew up) unfortionatly after his father passed away and we have been living there since 2002.

We no children yet, but have 2 dogs, Sammy who is a belgium Shepard and my Stinker~Bell (real name Tonka) the Rotty and I have a 2 cats 1 named Scosh and the other is Mama Meow Monkey Paws.
I currently work as a manager in the accounting department of a food distributor and Tom works as Supervisor for a company called Brinkmann in Westbbury.

I currently am at the end of my 2ww period, still no sign of AF and no BFP either!!

My name is Lisa (37) and my DH is Scott (40). We've been together for almost 8 years, married for 4.5. We have a senegal parrot named Sage who is our baby, and we are in the process of buying our first home!

We have been TTC for well over 3 years now. We've done 2 IUI's and are currently in the middle of our 6th IVF cycle. The only time I have ever been pg was my 4th IVF, and it was a late implantation so I didn't even know, and then it turned out to be ectopic anyway...

My name is Noreen and my dh's name is Anthony. We have been together for 6 years, married for almost 3 of them. We live in Long Island City Queens. I am a teacher and dh is an electrician in Local 3. We have been ttc for about 6 months but as most of you already know, I have not gotten my period and am in the process of finding a new doctor. No one can seem to answer any of our questions and right now I am concerned about my health.

For now our two babies are our 2 dogs, Murphy my toy poodle and Shaggy our Tibetan Terrier. We hope to relax a lot this summer in hopes that things will happen naturally but are ready for whatever may come our way.

Hi everyone, I'm Christine (33) and DH is Richard (33). We've known each other for 18 years since high school, dated for about 5 1/2 yrs and have been married less than 2 months. He is truely my best friend and couldn't even think of going through this life journey with any other.

We bought a house in Melville three years ago, which we are still renovating. We have a 7 month old Australian Cattle Dog named Kanga and hopefully will have another edition to the family soon!
