I want to throw the best baby shower ever..
Maybe you guys can help??
I need ideas for everything.. I am pulling out all the stops! Tell me your best ideas for any and everything. Invitations, favors, centerpieces, etc

My mom just did invites for our hairdresser's sister that came out really cute if you're crafty.

For a friend of mine, they had everyone bring their favorite children's book in place of a wishing well. They had the baby's book shelf there and everyone placed the book in the shelf. Love this idea!

threw my sister her shower last year..
her invitations i ordered off a website.. have to get the name of it..
I also framed her invitation
for the centerpieces, I got a few flower pots from michaels and filled them with personalized M&M's- baby colors (M&M.com)
in the pots, I stuck the favors which were chocolate lollipops and there were balloons coming out of the centerpiece
also did a baby library and clothesline..

Also she does not know what she is having.. what kind of theme can I do??
i stuck to green and yellow and of course my sister announces at the end of her shower that she was having a GIRL!!!!

At my Shower they did a "Diaper Pyramid".
Everyone had to bring a pack of diapers (various sizes). They were stacked into a pyramid, I am still using the diapers everyone gave me-it was a GREAT and VERY useful idea!!!

moon and stars (although that would be dominated by blue)

Yeah I didn't want to be too babyish and besides ducks I can't think of anything unisex. A girly theme sounds nice.. maybe like hot pink and lime green...

She's going to try to scan it tomorrow or I can go over & take a picture for you.
It was really cute - it was ducks in a blue vellum of water & a tag that came out with the info on it.
For themes I've seen different zoo animals on each table, steiff teddy bears (for the over the top centerpiece).
If you're doing a summer thing, you can give away a potted plant.
I did the clothesline for my sister's shower.
Went into the flower district & had flowers all over my house.
At another shower everyone had to write up "What to Expect Once You Have the Baby" - I think I posted the stuff I wrote (I'll try to find the link).

My friend was telling me about a babyshower that she went to where they had a onsies clothesline on display where they had a contest.
For instance:
they had most likely to not wear otside the house-
my friends sisters onesies won most obnoxious: it said something like: " if you think I am cute you should see my mommies bestfriend Jen"
Most original onesie- etc.
They had the shower @ a brunch place in the city or Brooklyn ( I forgot)

Here's the invite she did. It's a little pocket. The duck was attached & a black bead for the eye. The tag has all of the info on it. This was her test piece. She added waves of blue vellum on the bottom
The picture doesn't really do them justice. They were really nice.

I organized my co-workers baby shower last year...
We used this theme..its called MOD MOM
We also did a clothesline.
I LOVE LOVE the bookcase wishing well...where everyone writes a little something in the books they give...
this is what Mod Mom looks like...
