I love the idea of them, but I will never use them. I've heard too many horroe stories, and every time I see them in someones home, I tell them to remove it.

I just saw that this got bumped. As an update, yes, she did pass away. I posted an article on it when it happened.
She lived in an apartment. The fire inspector said that the Plug In came out of the outlit a tiny bit and then ignited.
