Frustrated and need to vent!

I am just so frustrated with one of my sisters right now. She has done so many things to hurt me and then turns it around to make herself look like the victim. I am just so sick of it.

She then has the nerve to hang up on me and proceed to call my other sisters to make me look like the bad guy.

Oh Hollie, I don't have any sisters so I can't really relate.....

You can adopt me, I'm sure I would make a good sister!!!

I haven't talked to my sister in almost 2 years because of her selfish behavior!

I have two sisters and as much as I adore them, this stuff is part of the territory. We complain about each other to each other all the time. Maybe we can do a trade.

I so wish I had a sister who was like my bestfriend, but we are so different in so many ways it would never happen.

The sister that none of us gets along with is the youngest. I am 5 years older than she is. My older sister is 8 years older and the sister after me is only 19 months younger than she is. While there are age differences, we were all close growing up. As my younger sister got older, she became more and more self absorbed and "crazy" ( for lack of a better word). She just says and does whatever she feels like... she's pure id. What's most upsetting is that she can't see what anyone tells her and lives in this world where she is so giving and always the victim.

if it makes you feel any better-- my sister told me that i looked like a Pregnant picnic table today

maybe its just that you got all the good genes, and she got the scraps... so thats why she's lacking in certain areas?

My sister has middle child syndrome, that is what I call it. I think my parents feel so guilty about having my brother so soon after her (they are a year apart), that they let her do anything and feel guilty about everything with her.

She is 28 years old, a Southampton Cop and still lives my parents. She doesn't pay rent and give my parents a hard time when they ask her to gp grocery shopping and spend her own $$$$.

She pays NOTHIHG where she lives at my parents's house!

Remember girls, this is the bridemaid I paid for her dress and make-up and she gave me no card at my wedding. How do you deal with someone like this?

for me this started relatively recently..

it has been a long history but there came a breaking point around easter..

i would not go to my moms knowing she would be there

but no real functions just yet...

mom and dads day we did separate things

but when it does come..yes i will ignore her

i just can't be a sister to her right now..it is to taxing, no hurtful and too exhausting

maybe one of these milleniums she will grow up...

I really want to just cut her out. The morning of the wedding (after complaining about all of my choices) she decided to back out of the wedding because I wouldn't let her bring some random female friend to my wedding. Then at 2 PM decides she wants to be in it again, since I didn't call her begging and she realized the wedding would go on without her. She never apologized and made me late for my wedding, since she was still getting her make up done when I was about to leave. To this day, she has never given me a card or a gift. I don't even care about the gift, but no card... even after I said to her that I was hurt she didn't give a card.

I am just at the point where I can't be around her because I am so full of anger and hurt. I can't deal with her garbage.

My siblings and I are pretty textbook birth order kids. I am separated by 13, 11 and 8 years with my siblings and we all have the same parents. I am most similar in personality and lifestyle to my OLDEST sibling/sister. None of us were ever attached at the hip, but it took recent family tragedy for us to become closer to each other assume roles we never wanted (such as health care proxies and power of attorney) in order to equally care for our parents.

Hollie, I am so sorry you are going through this. I know you to be one of the most sensitive. well-thought and educated women around. If a sibling is draining you of energy to the point where you prefer to disassociate, then it must be pretty serious. You will do what you need to do.
