 Hugs to everybody. My saddest would have to be when I found out that DH's Grandfather passed away. His entire family just adored him. It was the day after Christopher was born and DH came into my hospital room and just started SOBBING. He's never cried like that before. It hurt to see him in so much pain.

 to everyone.
Mine doesnt compare to yours but I would have to say the day my grandfather died - I had just met DH so it was like he "replaced" him in a way.
Or maybe the day my stepgrandfather passed at 6AM - then my 40 year old cousin passed at 11PM the same day from cancer.

my saddest moment was when my little 2 year old cousin was killed by a car on fathers day 2004. It was the worth thing that ever tragically happened to our family, it was the worst wake & funeral you could ever think of, they had pictures of her little angelic face everywhere it was so hard to stop crying...
i still think about her every day....

When my aunt passed away of colon cancer--something she could have prevented had she gone to the doctor right away when she noticed symptoms. But she was too scared, and she passed within 2 weeks of her diagnosis. Her kids miss her, she never met her grandchildren, and we all miss her...especially my mom and grandma, who miss having a daughter and sister.

9/11 and especially the days right after...I lost my aunt who was my mom's youngest sister. We went without sleep for over 72 hrs just waiting for anybody to call to see if they'd seen her.
She was truly the coolest, hippest aunt you could hope to have had.

In September I had a miscarriage. We tried for over a year and nothing. When I got a new job and we bought a house we were thinking maybe this isnt the best time and boom it happened. I found out on a friday night and by the the next thursday I was in the E.R.  I never wanted something so bad in my life.

Watching my dad pass away right in front of me..something I will never forget 
Also driving home from AC and listening to a message from my best friend and than the next message from her BF telling me she passed away in a car accident.

Everyone's posts as so tragic and sad, I really want to send you all lots of love and hugs
For me, I think the saddest moments of my life thus far have been losing my grandmother suddenly @3 years ago, and also around the same time having my other grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimers .. she still has it currently and its bad. The person I knew and loved is gone too so I feel like in a way, I lost both of them the fall of 2003
And of course my M/C last Sept. was also one of the saddest times in my life thus far  as well

What has been the saddest moment of your life? Mine was when my mom called and told me that my grandma passed away. I was so close to her.
Same here - I remember that moment vividly.

My saddest moment was the day my grandfather's cancer came back. He has stage IV Colon Cancer and doesn't have long. He is the strongest man I know and I have never seen him complain.

The saddest momments have been watching my uncle slip away in a hospital bed. Watching my aunt die from one day to the next. And soon it will be once I leave my parents & move to another state.
