El Coyote Loco in Wantagh/Seaford is my favorite Long Island Mexican place. The Baja in Hoboken is my favorite Mexican place overall, though.
The Pancho's Cantinas in Island Park and Bethpage are excellent. Haven't been to their Great Neck locale, though.

Whatever you do, do NOT go to Don Juan in Westbury. They have the most disgusting Mexican Food EVER.
I dont know much about LI mexican restaurants, but Rosa Mexicana in the city is my fave.
I agree on both counts! I hate Don Juan and love Rosa Mexicana.

Our favorite Mexican place would have to be Poco Loco in Roslyn. They make some kickass margaritas and it's in a cool atmosphere. it's an old house and you can sit outside if it's nice.
Oh I forgot about this place. I used to go there all the time with my parents when we lived in Old Brookville. Love their margaritas.

Great to know, I have been wanting to try this place!
I dont think you will be sorry! Whenever someone comes from out of town they want to go back there! Im not even a HUGE fan of mexican but I LOVE this place!
They also take reservations. So you might want to call ahead

DH and I weren't impressed with Viva Juan in Centerport. (Such a shame b/c it's a great location.)
Ugh, neither were we.
Besito in Huntington is incredible - but it might be impossible to get in tonight. Same owners as Blue Hanu.

UGH! South of the Border is totally booked tonight, so back to the drawing board. I am thinking Poco Loco in Roslyn or I remember this place in Great Neck (can't remember the name). Anyone know of something near Babylon?
