I'm depressed. Job Question.
I haven't been depressed about a job since b4 I started working at my new job. Long story short, I made a career change from Fashion Design to Investment banking. I'm an Operations Assistant and just started in the field in February. I love everything abuot my job, except the $$$. Everyone tells me..ohh your young...its ur first job in the field...but I make sooo little!!
Today my boss told me she sorta got promoted and now I'm just so upst. I NEED to make more $$, and I don't know how to tell her, bc we are really good friends now....
Anyone have a suggestion??

i like my job..A LOT..i like waht i do, my hours, the people i work with..i never liked a job so much..but the $$$....i'll have to get a 2nd job soon

how about really talking to your boss and listing why you are an asset to the company and see if you can get a salary increase.

Does the company give longevity raises, say every six months or 1 year? If you get a good annual evaluation, is a raise involved?
I'd just talk to your boss and see if it's possible.

Talk to your boss.
Did you have an employee evaluation? Does your company do employee evaluations? If you have only been there since February it could be once a year raises are provided and raises are often a small percent. If it's based on every 6 months then an evaluation should have been done.
Best thing to do is talk to your boss
