i think it is wrong too but i am assuming that it IS the parents that have entered their babies in the contest. maybe i shouldn't just assume though.

My girlfriend and I always said - would we "know" if our babies were ugly? I'm sure when it's yours you think it's beautiful no matter what. Joseph has big ears just like his daddy - My DH says all the time he's going to get made fun of in school, but we still think he's gorgeous. He'll just need to learn how to kick some a$$
I can't gush either - I'll pick out a good feature - even if it's their personality - and play up that.

That Ugly Baby Contest is the most ridiculous site ever! yes, some of those babies are funyn looking but some of them are really beautiful. Like this one
How can they call this child ugly? he is very attractive!
and just so you guys know, all babies, unless they are born via c-section, are born extremely funny looking. they have to go through birth canal and that's no picnic!
I am not saying there are no ugly babies, plenty of them! But using a new born picture and saying that it is ugly is reallty silly. How do you think you all looked like after beign squeezed in a birth canal for many hours?

I agree with this 100%- Bryan was 9lbs 10 oz and he had to come out of me- who is very small so there was lots of squeezing- he had a cone head when he was born and he was really swollen- he def didnt look very adorable but as he got older he started to get cuter and cuter. I feel like you really cant judge a baby until at least after 6 months- then they lose there newbornness and some of there features come out.

First, let me say Bella IS one of the cutest babies I have ever seen. The one and only time I came across a truly ugly baby was about 25 years ago. I was at my SIL's house and her neighbor from across the street was there as well. She had given birth about a week before me and had her son with her. He was five weeks old. This boy had the face of an old man and had so much hair that it could be parted on the side, not to mention, that it was a shocking shade of red. The only thing I could say was "what a head of hair". All babies are beautiful in the parents' eyes, but, not all babies are beautiful. Hopefully, there is one outstanding characteristic that you can focus on and compliment that.

My BF and I made a pack. We told each other that we would be honest and tell each other whether or not our babies are cute.(LOL) We always say that all parents must think their child is beautiful.

my nephew was NOT a cute baby when he was born!!
he looked like an old man, and was really squished, wrinkly, and just NOT cute!!! 
luckily, he's adorable now!!!!!

I just checked the website. The parent has to pay a $9.99 entry fee and if picked is eligble to win either $100 or $150. So it's either the parents entering the baby or someone close to the family.

This is true, especially since you have to pay $9.99 just to enter I guess some people will do anything for money.

I am the only person that thinks this baby is adorable. I see nothing ugly about him.
I am presuming that the "ugly baby contest" is one in which parents win money as a prize. I haven't looked at the pics but I am assuming the parents are "uglying" the kids up for the photos. Just a guess, though.

To be honest there are some babies that grow up to be not what the "Public" considers beautiful either. I thought Heide Klum and Seals baby was less than attractive but he's still a person with real feelings We are all beautiful in our own way

It sounds terrible, but DH and I were afraid we'd have an ugly baby. It's a ridiculous fear when there are so many more important things to worry about, but we did none-the-less. After seeing our 3-D scan we felt so much better- he's a complete cutie!

I don't think he's ugly either.
The only thing that I am noticing is that he has unusally broad shoulders for a baby. But his mom could very well put padding in so she had a better shot at the prize.
