My DH ( mortgage banker/broker)
would only let me look at condos- yes they are more money- but you own the unit- not shares in the building
buildings can go bankrup- and have bad credit ratings- which makes them are harder to do loans for
when you get a co-op loan- both you and the co-op have to be approved

I just bought a co-op and had no problems getting a mortgage through my bank.

I just bought a co-op and had no problems getting a mortgage through my bank.
Do you know how long you can stay in that co-op? Is there any lease expiration date? Thanks.
