OMG! I was so mad for you reading that! I would def complain at your next appt then change drs and practice.

Oh CheeChee...  I am speechless after reading the horrible experience you had during the birth of your son. I just cannot imagine how difficult it was for you to be treated so unsympathetically and unprofessionally by your doctor and midwife... its just inexcusable and disappointing to say the least.
I am so glad that in the end you have a beautiful, healthy baby boy ..BUT yet its terribly sad that what should have been one the happiest days of your life was somehow tarnished by the way you were treated
I wish you all the best in the world. ENJOY your little And please remember that your experience was in no way a result of anything you did! You were NOT a baby not did the fact that you were treated so coldly have anything to do w/your tolerance for pain or what have you. Its not your fault at all, and I hope this does not sway you from future children down the road

Thank you all for your kind words!! It means alot to me. I am still very emotional when i think back to that day, but again I am just so happy my son is here and healthy. I did take your advice and scheduled my 6 week post partum appt with Dr. Hanauer's office since so many of you speak highly of her. And I will be writing a letter to the OB's office (not that i think it will matter, but i need to voice my feelings) ... Thanks again for all your advice and support!!!

Im so sorry you had such a rough delivery and inconsiderate doctors/nurses - it was by no means your fault - i am happy to hear your baby is doing well and that you are on the road to recovery from the birth!

I am so sorry that you had to go through this.
I had such a positive birth experience thanks to Dr. Hanauer. I am glad I chose a doctor that is in a practice by herself. I felt she gave me her undivided attention. She even left her a family function when I was in labor even though she wasn't on call. I swear I love that woman so much! If you have any questions please ask.
I don't understand why doctors and nurses treat their patients that way. It is inexcuseable!
I had gestational diabetes and she was so supportive. She takes the time to explain everything and even my mom and husband love her. I hope you get the care and compassion you deserve from her. Please keep us updated!
