I know this belongs on the home board, but...
I feel more at "home" here 
I'm SOOOOOOO nervous. We put an offer on this house this morning!!! My tummy is in knots... oy oy oy. We put in a really low offer because as gorgeous as it is on the outside, it's horrendous on the inside. Needs a total gut, but that's what hubby and I are good at! Image Attachment(s):

I know, I know, I'm bad... sorry!!! It's only about a mile way from our current house, but it's much bigger. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an unfinished basement with access to an outside patio, and a nice, big yard for Alex The *real* BIG news is we may be moving back to LI within the next year or so! Hubby is working on a deal with a company based in NYC. So, we're going to buy this puppy, fix it up, sell it in a year or two for a nice profit (hopefully) and move our butts to NY!

You know Beth-the inside is not that bad. In the kitchen you could even prime and paint the cabinets and get some new hardware and new appliaces and it would look great. Seems like mostly cosmetic stuff. Just get yourself a wallpaper steamer. My house was FILLED with wallpaper what a PITA!
ETA: OH and countertops! My boss reno's houses and sells them and she gets great deals for counters, flooring, etc. at Home Depot and Lowes on clearance. Also consider getting a HD CC I think they have no interest for a yr then you can charge everything and pay it with the proceeds of the sale. That house has great potential
