getting nervous about christmas.
Im having 20 people over for dinner  I have never cooked for more then 5 people forget about 20 people. Im so NERVOUS! Will my turkey be ok will everyone like it
Whats everyone doing/making?

Just stay organized. I freaked out before my first thanksgiving but I had everything down to a science by that day and it went pretty smoothly. Not to say I didn't immensely enjoy a big fat glass of wine once dinner was over but I did find that being as organized as possible, and cleaning as you go along so your kitchen is never cluttered, are the two most important things.

Everything will be fine!! Don't worry.
We don't celebrate Christmas so we are going up to Boston to see my Hindu friend who also doesn't celebrate Christmas. So it will be two jews and an hindu on Christmas.

Due to the death in my family, we will still be having dinner...but it will be a somber one.
My mom is making Turkey. I'm making roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and salad. I'm also making apple crisp for dessert.

We;re having DH's parents over for Christmas Eve, & I am nervous too. It's only 2 people, but we never have people over for dinner & we are making a pork tenderloin for the first time. I'm hoping the food netowrk doesn't let us down!

When I do Thanksgiving or Christmas (we eat turkey for both), I make all the trimmings the day before so all I have to worry about is the actual turkey the day of.
I always use a cooking bag for the turkey and it never turns out dry or over-cooked. Just wait till the indicator has popped and you'll be fine.
If you have time, try to set the table the day before too. I'm sure everyone will have a great time!

Aw, dont worry you will do GREAT , Im sure. I remember the first time we had family over too 35 for new years dinner and I was sooooooooooooooooo nervous, but everything works out wonderful and your family will help you too, cleaning and stuff. Have a wonderful Christmas!!!!!

You have no idea what you are making and Christmas Eve is in 2 days!!! I would be having heart paltations! LOL. I am such a worrier/planner I would be freaking out.
Don't worry Kristin - it will be fine. What is important is having everyone together and hosting your first holiday.

I do mine basically the same without the onion & garlic inside, but I might try that.

My tip...OVEN BAGS!!! It comes out so moist in them.
We're doing spiral ham because that's nice and easy too.
