Bare Minerals -- UPDATE

Does anyone use this make up? What are your thoughts? I just bought the starter kit and am going to try it out tomorrow morning. I hope it works well.

I don't usually wear make up. Will I find this easy or difficult to apply?

UPDATE: 7/18

So today was my first day using it. I did not get the concealer, but I think I am going to go today and get it.

I LOVE it! I don't feel like I have anything on. And, the eye shaddow is fool proof, as is the rest of the products.

I think I can go a little lighter on the 'warm' face tint (that's what came in the kit) but it does even out my face quite a bit. I was very red and blochy and I can definately see the difference.

thanks ladies!!

Re: Bare Minerals

I use it. It works great, very easy to apply and one of the containers lasts a REALLY long time- I think I bought the one I am using now back in October, and I use it almost every day!

Thanks!Chat Icon

That's so refreshing to hear. I thought the container was pretty small and wasn't sure how long it would last.

I have been using it for 4 years and it is so easy to use and does make your skin look flawless. The only problem with it is that it does make face look a little shiny as the day progresses. I dont use alot and its been a year since I purchased my last compact of it.

Wow! really? The only reason I have never worn foundation was b/c I always ‘felt” I had it on. IMO BE is SO light!

I always hear good things about this product. I have a few samples but when I apply it, my face seems to have a shine and it appears to make my pores stand outChat Icon Am I just applying it wrong or don't haven the right shade?

I love it as well, but agree with the shine as the day progresses.

ETA: I actually use other liquid foundations and us BE Mineral Veil over them at times and prefer this to using the BE powder foundation. I LOVE the Mineral Veil so much - it is my favorite BE product and is a must for me.

You might have the wrong shade. Try stopping by Sephora or Ulta and have them apply it for you.

I actually use a little mineral veil first to "fill in" my big pores, then do the rest the same. It helps a lot!

Re: Bare Minerals

I bougth the starter kit & found the dvd very helpful. It comes with 2 foundation shades & for me, when I used the darker one, I felt my pores were noticeable, but the lighter one matches perfectly.

Too much mineral veil can make you look shiny, it is a little reflecty. In additon to the kit I bought a blush brush, 2 blushes ( glee & hint ) and the well-light/back-lit duo.

The warmth & glee are a little too dark for me, but other wise I really like it.

Re: Bare Minerals

With Bare Minerals, less is more. I use such a small amount, swirl it around in the lid, tap the rest off and buff on. It's impossible to mess up. Just make sure that you go around the jaw line and blend in nicely. I use the warmth (just a sprinkle) to give myself a little tan. It is so natural and it doesn't feel caked on.

Re: Bare Minerals

it's wonderful....i love it! i only use the foundation, though. I also have the application kabuki brush and concealer brush. i don't care for bisque (concealer) or the mineral veil. for me, the foundation is a multi-tasker!

Re: Bare Minerals

I love it. I have incredibly dry skin that requires me to use a night cream during the day, so regular liquid/mousse/pressed foundations just slid off my skin & make weird streak marks. This stuff works so amazingly well & the containers last forever.
