Oh me too! I would love to sit in on their sales pitch as well. It's sad but some pathetic network will pick it up.
I wouldn't be surprised if HBO picked it up. What network picked up "Growing up Gotti" wasn't it HBO too?

Are we sure that it is her that is trying to use her reletive's name for future gain? In the article it metions that she doesn't use the Bin Laden name. How do we know that it isn't some TV executive that approached her about this show first.
I actually feel for her. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through life being related to someone so evil. Being judged for the sins of someone you have never met. I just can't imagine.

I wish I could say the same. I never thought a show like Gastineau Girls would be picked up... or the Simple Life... or that one about a the country singing Iranian princess looking for love...I think it was called Love is in the Heir. Those shows all got picked up and GG had 2nd season. And Simple LIfe is still going even though the 2 "Stars" aren't speaking to one another I have no faith in the taste of these execs. These shows live while Arrested Development gets cancelled. I just don't get it.

She's an American and has every right to have a tv show if she wants to. If you don't want to watch it, then don't. You don't believe she should get a tv show because she's related with Osama. Then why stop there. THen she shouldn;t have received a college education in the US because she's related with him.
I believe she changed her last name because she doesn't want to be associated with "Bin Laden". And the fact that she is letting it be known now that she is a bin laden is so to avoid a huge scandel that would have erupted if she kept it quiet and a journalist outed her in the middle of her series.
I can't judge anyone because of who they are related to. As I would not judge any of you if an uncle of yours did something horrific as murdering people. It's discrimination. I don;t judge anyone based on their race, religion, sexual orientation....Why then should I judge someone based on their distant family?
imo, I think she's just a twentysomething year old girl who wants to be an actress. I won't be watching her show, not because who she is, but because I don't like reality tv.

I personally think it's disgusting. I have heard of her before and she has posed for pictures and stuff in the past. Although she stands by the fact that she is American and claims to love the country - she capitalizes on that name to her advantage. If she loved America so much, she wouldn't use (even though she's not currently) the one name that is probably the mosted hated name in this country and causes the most pain.
So big deal - she's a 20-something living life and looking for love...what makes her different than a million other women out there? Does she really think anyone is interested for any other reason than the name?

totally possible. but if that WERE true, that she's trying to capitalize on it, in this fashion, then shame on her. why not do something more PRODUCTIVE?? - like becoming a doctor, saving lives. or dedicating herself to the fight against terrorism. she'd impress me a heck of alot more as a 'fellow' american if she did any of these things....instead she's looking to become a famous reality tv star??? sorry....it makes my stomach turn.
the ONLY thing *I* would be able to associate with this woman is the fact that she's related to the most heinous person to walk the face of the earth. forgive me if i can't see past that fact. jmo

But why would we care who she is? Sorry if that makes me sound like a beyotch - but it's true. Who named her the new ambassador of goodwill? She doesn't need to prove to anyone that she is good or bad because of who she's related to. She should have just changed her name, lived her life quietly, and prayed that no one knew the connection. Instead she took the opportunity to try and become a star because everyone knows that name. I think it's absolutely disgusting and I hope it blows up in her face.
