Definitely BBQ!!

My faves for london broil is Lawry's Steak & Chop marinade (liquid) and McCormacks Meat Marinade (powedered season pack). Either one only takes 30 minutes and you are good to go.

I've done it in the crockpot, but I sliced it all up beforehand for stew or pepper steak. Lots of work...lol.

I would marinate it and bbq.

Re: London Broil

I made it this weekend. I marinated it overnight with a lemon mesquite sauce from Uncle Giuseppes; put fresh rosemary, lime, and garlic on it then put it on the BBQ. Delicious!

Re: London Broil

You can do either. I use london broil in my dutch oven to make Beef Stew. When you slow cook a london broil it gets very tender. Last time I made it i did not even need a knife it was so tender

but being that it is BBQ season I think you should grill it. I like to marinade it over night.

I first rub it with montreal steak rub - not too much. Sometimes i add a little mustard on with the rub. Then i cover it in 1/2 an onion sliced. some wishbone Robusto Italian dressing, a little bit of soy sauce and 1/3 cup of beer.

Re: London Broil

I kind of just make it up as I go along, but this one is very similar

Savory Pepper Steak

crockpot, stews

2 lb beef round steak
1 (1/2 inch thick
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 medium onion; chopped
1 small clove garlic; minced
2 large green peppers; seeded
1 cut into 1/2 inch strips
16 oz whole tomatoes
1 tablespoon beef flavor base (paste or
1 granules)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 fluffy rice

Cut steak into strips. Combine 1/4 cup flour, the salt and pepper; toss with steak strips to coat thoroughly. Add to crockpot with onion, garlic and half of green pepper strips; stir. Combine tomatoes with beef base, soy sauce and worcestershire sauce. Pour into crock pot, moistening meat well. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 12 hours. One hor before serving, turn to high setting and stir in remaining green pepper strips. If thickened gravy is desired, make a smooth paste of 3 T. flour and 3 T. water; stir into crock pot. Cover and cook until thickened. Serve gravy with pepper steak over hot fluffy rice.

Re: London Broil

I would marinate it and throw it on the grill. My new fav marinade is the Jack Daniels Garlic & Herb in a bag, so easy! Otherwise I sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, pepper and then teriyake sauce.

Re: London Broil

I always grill it. About 15 minutes before I put it on the grill, I sprinkle it with soy sauce and lightly with very course sea salt.

Re: London Broil

I used A1 Marinade Texas Mesquite - The meat is still frozen - put it on the counter about 4 hours ago and it still needs time to defrost but I put it in the marinade and now it is in the frig

prob 10-12 minutes per side depending how thick it is. I use one of those electronic fork thermometers. you will want to take the steak off the fire when it's medium - medium/well and let it sit for 5 minutes to finish cooking.

you will have to check it as your are cooking it. It may take longer than you think depending on your grill and the cooking temp and the thickness of the meat. i would say cook it on one side at least 15 mins...then flip for another 10...then check it....
