Any teachers/future teachers go through the CITE program for their masters?
I believe CITE is affiliated with Touro College and caters to teachers because of its flexible weekend/ school holiday schedule. You have to take a few "common courses" in order to matriculate in the masters program. It has locations all over the five boroughs. Just looking for feedback on the program itself.

Very little about it. I wish I could help you more but I am not getting much from the website either. I think it is because there are so many Touro locations.

DH is currently in the program... you take the first 6 courses through CITE... 5 classes which are given on Sundays or you can do a full week (like the February break week). The 6th class is just observations that you have to write up and submit (no class). After that you matriculate into Touro and pick what you want to specialize in... I think it can either be elementary, secondary, or special ed. and then its another 5 classes and you are done. I don't know how the Touro classes are offered (days of the week, etc). I know the class through CITE are approximately $400 - $500 a class and the Touro ones a little more expensive, but it is still a cheap way to get a Masters Degree.

Thanks for the feedback ladies. I know that you take the common courses first and assuming that you keep a good gradepoint average you matriculate into the program. It almost seems to simple though, which is why I was wondering. My friend is doing it now and she says it is a realitely simple process but she is certified already and has been teaching for 5 years.
