White Kitchen Cabinets
DH and I are trying to come up w/ ideas on how we want to decorate our new home, so Im full of questions today 
Anyway, does anyone have white cabinets in their kichen? I really want white , I love more of a country kitchen look but DH wants wood. He thinks white will get dirty/stained easily and it doenst look as formal as wood.
Any thoughts? Pics would be great too if anyone has them. TIA!!

Why not compromise and get those new ones, the off white, distressed cabinets. So nice.

Oh, they are GORGEOUS. I love them and I also, love the dark cherry/mahogony ones. But, either of those cabinets would look amazing with stainless steel appliances. The distressed ones would give you the country feel you want and give DH his wood cabinets!

I think Martha Stewart has white kitchen cabinets (at least in one of her homes ). Maybe she has pics on her website to give you inspiration???

wow i love that first pic!!! thats how I want our kitchen to look, except ours is smaller and we're going to get all stainless steel appliances.
thanks for posting that pic!! Hopefully DH will love it too and it'll help me convince him

My parents have all white cabinets, light gray floor and a tealish green countertop. It looks really nice.
Dirty fingerprints do show up on the white cabinets but they are so easy to clean.

Our kitchen is all white with stainless steel appliances (need to change oven and dishwasher). It's painted beige here...but we just painted it green and it looks amazing...esp. with the silver!!

We have white--I dont mind the cabinets being white--I just hate the white tile floor because that gets filthy!! The cabinets get fingermprints on them sometimes and theyw ipe right off. Other than that, they actually stay pretty clean--and I have 2 cats--so that is a miracle Image Attachment(s):

We have white cabinets in our rented apt now and I refuse to get white in our new condo (we are renovating). The ones we have now get so dirty, I just feel like I never can keep up. I have noticed some have stained. It would probably come off it I bleached it but since I don't own it and we are moving soon, I haven't tried. JMHO

When I was in my apartment, my landlord lived downstairs and had white cabinets in her kitchen. She said she'd never get them again because some of them had discolored, so they didn't match anymore. Just something to consider.

our new construction home is all builders white....beige walls, white trim.....white EVERYTHING in the kitchen.

I love white cabients. And other painted colors. If you have enought cabients, you can also do a mix ( like if you have an island, it can be wood, etc)

150%... actually, we love them so much that we're installing them in the new house we just bought. They're very easy to install yourself, so you can save a lot of money. The kitchen cost us about $5k, and so will our new kitchen. And, to boot, Consumer Reports rates the Ikea cabinetry very well, higher than many of the cabinetry offered by Home Depot, Lowes, and high end retailers. We looked at identical cabinets at HD and Lowes, and the cost there was at least $10k-$12k for almost the exact same cabinets. The only drawback is that your options/sizes are more limited at Ikea... but we made it work for us.
