thank you for your suggestion to tigger77 to go to lord and taylor. i needed a dress myself for a wedding a the Carltun tomorrow night, and I went to my local L&T and I found an awesome dress for $50
i had never been inside the one by me, because its not in a mall- it stands on its own.
great sales there! i will frequent that store now! thank you!
ETA- FANTASTIC WEDDING- FOOD WAS AMAZING- I LOVED EVERYTHING....SUCH A FIRST CLASS, ELEGANT EVENT!

You're welcome!! Well, Lord & Taylor has always been known for the dress department (according to my mom)-- it should always be a stop when on the hunt! I have found great things along the way there...
Take pics at the Carltun- that's where I got married!! Have fun!

I used to go there EVERYDAY during lunch and I always found awesome sales!!!! Especially in the shoe department!

it's probably b/c I never "plan" on going...it's always spontaneous, so I never have any coupons or anything with me.

You can also sign up on L&T.com and they will email you the coupons! I am not a coupon clipper but when they come directly to my email, well, it is just a great excuse to go shopping!!!

i almost bought like 4 dresses but i went with the cheapest one because i didnt want to look too flashy. its just a satin a-line halter dress with a bra built in. it covers my tan lines perfectly and is very flattering. its by oleg cassini - its very plain- black- but it just hpapens to look really nice on.
i will take a ton of pictures. this should be some ridiculous wedding -350 people i think!
ive been looking forward this for months
the dress looks like this but is not a swingy- its more form fitting

the girl that works in the young ladies depat is awesome too
they have TON of dresses
there is also a 15% off coupon off the interent that i used

That's a great dress. Great find for $50!!!
I love going to L&T for sales and dress shopping. They have a great selection and usually have my size. I feel like I'm always getting coupons in the mail too.
I live right by the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, so I always head there when I need something nice. It's so much cleaner and less crowded than Macys.
