She is in week 28 and effacing (they can't stop it). They also said the umbilical cord bands are now down to one (they were two) and they will be taking the baby next week. They said there is a very high chance he could have brain damage or not make it at all.
I'm so upset. We were just there and I'm in black out mode where we can't take vacation time (start of the Qtr.). I still have days and I really want to be there for her. She is going to need help physically and emotionally since she has two small children at home. I can't even imagine how she will feel/react if it's the worst news possible.

Your sister and her baby and your entire family are in my prayers.
It is amazing what they can do now, don't lose hope.
Is there any exceptions with work, maybe if they knew the circumstances maybe they would be willing to work with you. There is a difference between wanting a day for the beach and a family emergency, hopefully they will understand.

OMG I am so sorry to hear this your family is i n my prayers. Don't give up hope my Cousin had to give birth early and the only thing that was wrong with the baby was that she is blind but now that she is 15 months old she is starting to see shades and shapes they are going to wait and see if comes back anymore and then they will do an operation to try to restore the sight.
There is so much technology these days don't give up hope

Sharon you know my story and my sister's and everything worked out with our babies. Stay positive....and as far as the work thing goes...screw them....they let JC go on vacation this week...and no one in his family is having any type of family crisis....if you need to be there then tell BC you are going...don't give her the choice of telling you NO.
