Co-ed catholic school from pre-school to 8th grade. Smartenend up and went to public school for junior high and high school. No wonder why I'm so screwed up!!!

catholic. all girls.
the principal looked like Orvil Reddenbocker (but was a Nun... i.e Female), and the 'head priest' was involved in the whole Priest scandal a few years ago.
yet, my mom sent me there (after having been in public school my whole life).. b/c she thought it was "Safer". good call, ma 
(im kidding.... well, that stuff is true... but HS wasnt completely horrible. and i didnt get stabbed... so i'm sure thats a check on the "Pro" list?  )

were your teachers all nuns/priests/brothers? We had a mix of both regular teachers but lots of nuns/priests and tons of Franciscan Brothers.

were your teachers all nuns/priests/brothers? We had a mix of both regular teachers but lots of nuns/priests and tons of Franciscan Brothers.
We had a lot of decrepid old nuns but they were slowly getting replaced by lay teachers while I was there

we had very few nuns and priests. there were a few nuns that taught religion/ art or were tutors in the resource centers or guidance counselors (they were all Sisters of Saint Joseph). As far as Priests, there were a couple in administrative positions (as well as the head of the Athletic dept) but i only had 1 as a teacher (for religion).. and i think he may have been the only 'instructional' priest. i'd say my school was about 90-95% lay people as far as teaching positions went

Decrepit nuns... LOL .. ok that just make me crack up
I'd say in my H.S. it was about 50/50 nuns and lay teachers.... we had one super cool guy who was a step away from the priesthood that taught religious education.. he was AWESOME and a group of us 'bad girls" used to hang out with him and drink beer  and tell him NOT to become a priest .. ... (I think he was trying to "Save" us from going down the wrong path, yup it was SOME education!)
BUT alas, he did joint the priesthood .. I even went to his ordination, it was cool ... and till this day I'm still convinced he was totally GAY (not that there's anything WRONG with that  )

They were soome crazy old bitties, no?
my dean looked like a bull dog... even had a similar drooling problem. but at like 60 something... she had Speed... she'd always jet after me in the halls to tuck my shirt in
my mom had Dominicans- they were no joke. She used to get beat everyday (they again, she also went to school "altered" everyday, so theres a slight logic to it )

went to St. John of God from k-6, then St. Mary's in East Islip and then for high school I went to St. Anthony;s.

Public school in Tennessee. We learnt how to read and sypher. I learnt all kinds of things like the world is round and that we do not come from monkeys and that just cause he's your cousin don't mean ya can't marry him.
