Is it strange to name your baby before you
have the baby?
I pretty much tell people as long as she is a she, her name will be Hannah Grace. So a girl from the office had a beautiful "Hannah" wall hanging made and it's on my desk. A few people have commented "You already have this child named?" I didn't think it was strange to have names picked out in advance...is it?

With Damien we found out and had his name picked. I got a bunch of stuff with his name at my shower

I don't think it's weird at all. We refer to Steven as Steven or Stevie all the time.
I agree that they are weird for commenting.

Do they have kids?? Hmmm.... I think they are strange! I know some people have a few names chosen before the baby is born- but they wait until they see the baby to choose the exact name.

we have our name picked as well. and I thik its better cause with my son for last 4 months of pregnancy I was ableto talk to my belly and call him robert instead of just baby

Not at all. We have our name almost picked. My frend had her name picked before she knew it was a boy and even called him by that name in the womb.

It is only weird if you write the baby's name on the thank you cards...which my SIL did...he wasn't born yet...that was weird.

My sister and BIL knew the name, just didn't tell anyone. We found out the day Matthew was born. She said she didn't want to "jinx" anything.

No I haven't signed her name to anything. Sometimes I write "& baby" when I'm writing something to close family or friends.
