I'm back with my baby-updated
 !!!! James Daniel was born on August 30th at 7:48 a.m. He was a whopping 9 pounds 7 ounces.  I was convinced I was having a girl, so when the Dr. said It's a Boy I couldn't believe it! We are so excited with our little boy. He's perfect! Will try and post birth story and pics soon.
Hello everyone. Here is my story. On Tuesday, a week after my due date, I started getting contractions. Got to the hospital around 10:30 p.m. They broke my water and put me on the pitocen. Everything was going fine, but then I got stuck at 8 cm and I wasn't progressing. The Dr. said for some reason the baby wasn't coming down any further, and I was contracting beautifully so that wasn't the problem. He said it could be that the baby is too big for me, or there is something else that is stopping the baby from coming down. So at about 6 something in the morning, he recommended a c-section, and I was very upset. I wanted to keep trying, but the Dr. said I was going for so long, I could keep laboring, but he thought ultimately I'd end up with the c-section anyway, and he didn't like what the baby's heartrate was doing. So I realized I had to get over it, it was more important to have a healthy baby. So they did the csection and James was born at 7:48. It was a little nervewracking thinking you will deliver one way, you're all set up in the birthing room, and then you are in this sterile surgery room having major surgery. I was very nervous, but once it started I calmed down a little. Afterwards, the Dr. said he was sunnyside up and so big, so it was a good thing I did the csection when I did. When I heard the baby cry I was so excited, and when they said boy I was SOO shocked!! When they weighed the baby, the Dr. said where were you hiding this baby?? (I had only gained 21 pounds, so I wasn't expecting such a big baby!!) The funny thing is that his birth weight, 9/7 is also our anniversary!  So that's my story. My little boy is here and we are thrilled with him!!
