I took what I felt was the most requested song in my DJ experience for these two artists.
In your opinion, what is the better SONG ???

I get requests for "Don't Stop Believing" all the time. And its without a doubt the hottest Journey song I have ever played at the bar.
They rarely ask for something else. Get an occasional "Separate Ways" request. Never get any of the "slow songs" requests (not that those are bad songs)... I wanted to compare apples to apples with this poll.
ETA: The most requested Bon Jovi song is Living on a Prayer... but I will also get "You give love a bad name" requests as well.

I like Journey better than Bon Jovi, but as far as choosing between those 2 songs, I had to pick "Livin' on a Prayer". I can't believe that particular Journey song gets requested over some of the others!

However I love Journey with the original Steve Perry.
I would say Faithfully was their best on ever!

34-27 Jovi. This pretty much reflects the first poll's results.
The reason for posting these polls was simple. These two songs are two of my biggest hits at the bar.
I always felt Living On A Prayer was the biggest one. But it was only recently (last year) that I realized how popular Journey was... specifically "Don't Stop Believing".
People go nuts when I play that song. A lot of times they go more nuts to Journey than they do to Bon Jovi.
I think a lot of people vote Jovi for the name... and they are good. But I think when Journey gets played... people get more "into it" because they are maybe not as "well known" as Bon Jovi.
Maybe on patty's day i'll get on the mic and i'll ask the crowd to make noise for each song... and i'll see who gets the louder response. Maybe ill videotape it from my dig camera.
