I have a totally absurd theory on predicting baby's sex
OK... all the women I know that are having girls come from a family of girls, or at least their sister is the next sibling.
All the women I know who are having boys have a brother as their next sibling.
Just curious if anyone else has found this, or any other patterns.

Sorry, it didn't work for me. I have a younger brother and my first was a girl, don't know what this one is. I don't have any older sibs.

I only have a younger brother and I am having a  . Both of my parents were only children. DH only has an older sister.

I am the oldest and have 3 younger brothers my first born is a girl and the one on the way is a girl as well so this didnt' work for me

wow old post.
But I am an only, and DH has a sister. And we're having a girl.
We also have lots of girls in our family. My mom is one of four girls, my dad had two sisters, and DH's mom has a sister. And my one grandma had 3 sisters, and one brother.

While your theory seems believable, in my case, DH's brothers all made boys from his father down. My family was mixed...
Everyone SWORE we were going to have a boy as well..to the point where they went out and purchased BOY stuff. AAANNNND..we are having a girl. 
So..I guess he was the "exception"
It's so hard to tell. BUT..I did find there was ONE way that worked for us to see what we were having. I have a friend who is Greek and she did this thing with a cross on my hand and it said I was going to have a girl..and I am. Very freaky..but I didn it on several people who have had kids already (including myself) and it turned out to be right w/everyone

My family is the opposite. When I was growing up, almost all of my cousins were girls. We have all grown up to have boys, and one girl so far.
No wilder than any other theories though. The Chinese gender predictor was wrong with me--I was supposed to ahve a girl according to that. And I have been craving sweets and fruit more than anything, which is supposed to mean a girl, but I'm having a boy.
Who knows?

Thats all wrong with me too. The Chinese gender predictor said I'd have a boy. Not.
And I haven't really been craving sweets, more salty/vinegary stuff.
