Hi all. Well, I made it into work today. Of course my boss doesn't even have a 5 minute window to talk to me....it's not going to be good timing when I do it, but I don't think it will ever be good timing.

You can do it!
When you're miserable at work it's the worst thing! I used to have a job that I would go sit in my car on my lunch hour (when I got one!) and just cry. I left not long after I started.

This is what I do here...except I cry in the bathroom. Ugh - it is so awful. I can't wait until this day is over!!!

That is what I want to do, but I'm trying to be as professional about it as possible. Meanwhile I still haven't seen my boss...she has been in back to back meetings and I prob will end up telling her over the phone while she is en route to another meeting tonight...

I agree! The job I used to cry at was when I lived on LI and commuted by from Coram to Great Neck everyday to work for a miserable SOB, there were some days (especially on Friday's in the summer) that it would take me 3 or more hours to drive home

I wanted to do it over email, but DH convinced me to do it professionally and in-person. I am nervous. I don't want to deal with the mental manipulation that my boss is sure to pull on me.
Bottom line: I'm not happy and never will be at this job. My commute is 2 hours each way into the city and I am slowly killing myself. The only way I'm going to get a new job is by quitting, so that I can have the time to look for a new job!
Anyway, I have conflicting feelings. I've been crying all day..I feel guilty, happy, and I also feel like a failure for not sticking it out longer.
