OK, remember my good news I couldn't tell you?
Well, I can tell you now! It's work related, and I am not even sure if anyone will even care, but for me and my new family, it is the most amazing timing in the world.
Anyway, I couldn't post because my good news was another teacher's bad news. I am now taking over the entire music department in my school (another teacher lost his job so I could take this position), and I got a HUGE raise for next school year. I wanted to wait until I signed my contract for next year and until this other teacher knew he was losing his job. I don't feel too bad because he was not doing his job well AT ALL and I have my new family to think about. This means that we will actually be able to buy a house next year! OMG, I can't even tell you how elated I am and how much I cannot believe this is happening. I spent months and months preparing a proposal to take over the department and I never thought anyone would go for it, but the head of the school and the board absolutely loved the idea and jumped on the opportunity. I'm just so excited!
