I have heard of this before, and in fact, a Midwife I took a class with once saved her son's placenta in the freezer ( ), b/c come Spring they were planning on planting a tree in their yard & were going to plant the placenta along with it & name the tree after him.

I actually heard that in other countries the placenta is considered a very sacred thing. They consider it the one thing that brings life into the world so they do all these things where they eat it, save it, plant it.

I could just imagine having that in the freezer, my mom coming over to help out and make dinner, mistake it for some kind of sausage and cooking it up. UGH!
