I didnt see it but a co-worker who rents a house out there was excited to see it but he said it was the worst hour of TV ever.

I didn't watch it; the show seems like a bad idea. We used to joke in our share a couple of years ago that it would make for a good reality show - but really, it wouldn't.

I was reading an article in newsday and they said many of the residents and businesses were against the show. Everything had to be taped early. That's why all the restaurants and clubs were empty. I think they had to stop taping at 9 or 10pm. 
I felt so bad for the "ex-boyfriend". She dates other guys, but has him waiting in the sidelines. That girl is basically having her cake and eating it too.

I could barely make it to the first commercial. I shut it off after 10 minutes.
They were too dressed up for Fire Island, and I think it will give FI a bad rep for people who don't live around here.  Non-Long Islanders stereotype LI as it is...
Showing up to the island on a speedboat in a suit? Pleeeaaaase!

I did watch the very beginning and the first thing I said to DH was people who live in Manhattan go to the Hampton's. We never had any of those types of people in any of my beach houses

That's what we said! Also seemed more like Laguna Beach than Fire Island. Even though I thought it wasn't a great show I'll still probably watch to see if I recognize anyone or to check out the places they go!

Kerie (ssdbk) on LIW rents that house and she and her house mates got kicked out for a few weeks while they filmed it. It's a great house..I thought the two minutes of the show that I saw blew! Kerie goit engaged at that house too. Just a little trivia..
