Same. I buy all of her gifts, bday, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc.

We usually decide together what to get her. Then, either one of us will pick it up depending on what it is.

I get the gifts if it was up to my husband she would get money.
We don't go overboard for Mother's Day. My MIL is a simple woman who appreciates little things. I got her a stuffed "Grandma" bear from the kids. A scarf from us. And I made a card on Shutterfly w. a photo of the kids on it. She loved them all. Especially the card. (Mother's day is in March in Ireland.)
