Front Street in Rockville Centre. I love all of their desserts, especially their crumb cake. They also do something that not many places can do: they make Passover cakes that are not only edible, but taste as good as the real ones.
I love Front Street Bakery!!! When I lived in LI, I lived no where near RVC but I would make that trip for my sweet tooth. They have an amazing Chocolate Cake with Rasberry Filling!! It is the best cake I have ever tasted.

1. Russo's Bakery in Maspeth & Glendale
When I lived in Glendale my favorite was Russo's. Now it's La Bonne Boulangerie in East Norwich.

I forgot to add my favorite:
Benkerts in Centereach (reason why I had them make my wedding cake and another reason I was very happy to move to Centereach)
And also Audreys in West Sayville (they have silk and satin cake which is to die for)

OK so I went to Iavarone tonight to get pasta and what did I walk out with?? A cannoli for DH and a choc. cheesecake tart for me!! Marcie you are a bad girl!!

OMG. This memories this brings up brings tears to my eyes. I always remember trips to Front Street with my Grandma for crumb cake. Nothing matches it!!!

Alpine in Smithtown or Tilda's in Rocky Point. I am not really impressed with the bakeries out here. I have lived on LI (suffolk county) for 15 yrs and have yet to really find a bakery that was like anything in queens where I grew up. Just like pizza
