Re: would you keep this gift?

I also wouldn't buy it, but if I had the room to store it, I'd probably keep it for parties. YUM!

Re: would you keep this gift?

If you entertain I think it is great! Tara (peabody) has one and as a guest I LOVE IT! I don't think guests have made a mess at her house, and I've had it there a few times. She has out yummy things like pound cake, strawberries, pineapple, marshmallows, pretzels...YUM! I would never bother for me and DH alone though.

Yes, I would keep it. I Love chocolate but I don't know if I would use it too often unless I was entertaining.

Re: would you keep this gift?

I put no, only because of the amount of times I would actually use it.. which would probably be only like once a year. My mom got me this chocolate melting kit thing for Christmas which is a little more practical, I think. It's got the little pots that you put into each other to melt chocolate and then you can dip things in it. That I would use more.

You actually can just use cheap chocolate chips with a little oil and it's super yummy. It's been a big hit at our parties.

Re: would you keep this gift?

I got a fondue pot (which I consider on the same level as a chocolate fountain) from DH 2 years ago after I BEGGED for it. I still haven't used it. So, no, I wouldnt keep it. It seems like too much of an effort is needed.

i got for a gift for christmas and i was debating the same thing as you. i kept mine b/c it was from my BIL. we used it the other day after i made DH a nice dinner. it uses a lot of chocolate and we decided it is better for parties. we are having a chocolate soiree next weekend.
