Just put an offer on a house...now with pics
WAY more than we want to spend but its so awesome. It needs a new master bath and kitchen update but its so open. We offered 9,000 below asking and hope they accept.

Oh Christine... good luck.
So you bid on a house that needs a new bath and kitchen? Your timing is perfect. We are almost done with our massive re-do (just the half-bath) so FIL and I can be out this summer redoing your house
I really hope you get this one  It sounds great. Where is it?
Does it have a guest room? j/k

Definately have a guest room and would LOVE the help remodeling. DH has already invited his mom to oversee everything(she needs something to do since her husband just went into a home) and that should be interesting

definately started to slow- they put this on the market for 15,000 less than they wanted so they could have a bidding war- we are the only offer that I know about so far. Everything has been reduced lately.

oh, its in Torrance, CA about a mile to the beach The best part is its a smaller home in a neighborhood of million dollar homes. We will definately be the cheapest in a great neighborhood. I love that its on a cul-de-sac. I will try to get pics so you can see how 70's it is.

OK, the kitchen is not the worst I've seen. Yes, it's outdated but at least it's clean. I'm already redesigning in my head You can do so much with the living area being that it's open. I'd definitely take down those railings... just wondering why they would have a railing if no stairs? I guess it's supposed to be a room divider?
I love how the windows in CA are so much bigger.

GRRRRR>>>>> So Frustrated right now. The seller rejected our offer and said even if we had made an offer of FULL ASKING they would refuse since they underpriced it to get a bidding war! Um, we are the only offer DUFUS! There is no war- get over it- its not a seller's market any longer!!!!
Ok, rant over. My realtor said to hold tight and he would check in with the other realtor to see if any other offers come through this week. Its only been on the market for five days so there is still a chance unless this guy gets the higher price they are looking for- I wish they idiots would just price the house for what they want so we know what we are dealing with and if we can even afford it.
