I have been sitting here crying watching the news. One woman said that she tried to stop the police to help her husband but they kept passing by. He died and they told her to move the body so the smell didnt bother people passing by. They showed her sitting there next to his dead body lying in the street.
Now 25,000 people have to take an 11 hour bus ride to move into a new city (the Houston Astrodome) where they will live indefintaley sharing 2 lockerrooms for showers.
I cant even imagine. I will be donating some money. I am thinking about volunteering to go there, but I am not sure if I can do it right now with my own circumstances.

I made a donation too. I cant watch it on tv anymore. It is 12:18 and these people (babies) have no place to put their head. I figure we could go without some frivolous want for a week to make up for the donation. Awful!!!!

This is all so heartbreaking...DH and I are definitely going to be making a donation.
It's so sad to keep reading or seeing in the news how they're not caring about the "dead bodies" anymore...they're just pushing them aside. Can you imagine how devasting these places must be that they are saying this?!?!
